ISO 27001:2021 Awarded To GiG’s Frontend Development And CMS

For its frontend development solution and content management system, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has been awarded ISO 27001:2021 certification.

A ‘top-down, risk-based approach’ is used by the ISO 27001 standard to evaluate and define information security management systems criteria and specifications (ISMS).

According to GiG, the qualification is a testament to its dedication to ‘protecting its partners and their players with the highest  level of information security available.’

Strategic priority

Diane Abela, GiG’s Director of Information Security said: “At GiG, information security is considered a strategic priority.

“We operate in heavily regulated markets such as the UK and US, and so it’s imperative to us that we are at the top of our game when it comes to certification.

“Acquiring a certification on yet another two of our core products is a clear reflection of the dedication and investment that the company continues to make in securing both our own and our clients’ information.”

Certification cover

The certification covers development, architecture, network configuration and related product operations for gaming services hosted on the infrastructure of GiG for frontend, middleware and backend.

As a result, GiG customers will be exempted from a range of stringent jurisdiction-specific, technological, regulatory audits which will save both time and money as noted by the platform provider.
