The naming of Darnell Strom as a member of the company’s Board of Directors this week was confirmed by Wynn Resorts. In a change that became effective on October 14, he took on the job as an Independent Director and Class I member of the Board.
Strom is currently a partner and head of the Culture and Leadership Division at the United Talent Agency, a multinational talent and entertainment organisation, where he leads efforts to extend cultural and business impact through media, sports , entertainment, music , fashion, arts, branding and thought leadership channels for his top customers.
Wynn said that his decades of experience in entertainment, media and sports, together with the relationships he has formed, would be a major benefit to the business.
Prior to joining UTA, Strom was a Creative Artists Agency (CAA) agent where he set strategy and built partnerships across various channels, including television, motion pictures, publishing, digital communications, and technology, with major customers, including individual artists as well as top brands.
His prior experience as an Executive at the CAA Foundation led him to advise artists and major companies on their philanthropic and pro-social initiatives.
Strom’s background in politics includes working for former President Bill Clinton as Deputy Director, as well as working with the Presidential Campaign of Senator John Kerry. He also worked on the White House Entertainment Council under President Barack Obama.
