As part of its Bet With a Winner campaign, Rush Street Interactive online sportsbook BetRivers.com has signed an exclusive content agreement with Jerome Bettis, one of the best running backs in NFL history.
Brand ambassador and spokesperson
Under the terms of the agreement, Bettis will act as the brand ambassador and spokesperson of the organisation, participating in upcoming BetRivers network promotions and events. As a member of the RSI family, with BetRivers users on its social channels, along with additional digital and traditional media outlets, he will inject his passion and experience into pro football.
A positive impact on and off the field
The President of RSI, Richard Schwartz, commented: “No matter where he was, growing up in Detroit, playing at Notre Dame, or during his iconic career in Pittsburgh, Jerome Bettis made a positive impact on and off the field. We are thrilled for Jerome to bring his authenticity and winning ways to the passionate sports bettors on BetRivers.com.”
A Detroit native, Bettis went on to play at Notre Dame for three seasons, where he rushed for over 1,900 yards and scored 37 total touchdowns. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year in the 1993 draft by the Los Angeles Rams with the No. 10 pick.
A 1996 trade sent Bettis to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year in his first season with the black and yellow “The Bus,” the first of many accolades that would catapult him up to the ranks of all-time Pittsburgh greats.
The final season of Bettis was just as unforgettable as the first. He was the emotional leader of a Steelers team, albeit limited in output, which became just the second team in NFL history to advance to the Super Bowl as the last Wild Card team, beating the Seahawks in Super Bowl XL. In the final game of his career, Bettis won his first Super Bowl championship in front of his hometown crowd in Detroit.
