Novibet has appointed Yannis Xirotyris as its new chief commercial officer, as the online casino and sports betting provider expands its senior leadership team.
In his new role, he will be responsible for applying a ‘data-based, analytical approach’ to Novibet’s overall growth strategy as the company continues to enter ‘new demanding markets.’
Prior to joining the company, Xirotyris held the posts of international development director and director of global marketing at PokerStars, which later became a part of Flutter Entertainment.
He was in charge of a lot of Flutter’s brands during this time, as well as contributing to PokerStars’ global expansion.
Xirotyris was also Sportingbet’s regional manager for Greece and the Balkans, where he was “one of the first executives of the local online gaming market,” and played a crucial role in the company’s expansion across the two territories.
Novibet’s chief executive officer, George Athanasopoulos added: “We are very happy to welcome Yannis Xirotyris to our team. His significant experience in online gaming entertainment makes his market insight undeniable.
“Yannis is one of the leading professionals in the industry and his inclusion in our team, as the new chief commercial officer, will significantly strengthen both the company’s executive structure and its strategic expansion strategy in new demanding markets.”
Novibet partnered with Gaming Innovation Group earlier this month to provide GiG Comply, an automated affiliate marketing compliance screening solution.
Operators can use the system to create their own criteria and checklist parameters to scan and inspect affiliate websites for content such as igaming code red phrases, links, and regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
It operates by analysing real snapshots from affiliate campaigns with its rules engine and providing operators with the promotional content that is being used in their brands’ promotions.
