Xtremepush has signed a new collaboration arrangement with Penn Interactive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Penn National Gaming, which will see Penn National’s Barstool Sportsbook mobile app as a multichannel engagement network provider service.
Penn Interactive will be able to deliver customised, real-time messages on the Xtremepush platform that both boost the player experience and drive conversions.
Penn National, one of the most recognisable brands in the North American betting industry, operates 41 gaming facilities throughout the United States (casinos and racetracks).
Penn National entered into a strategic alliance with Barstool Sports earlier this year in which Barstool primarily promotes the company’s land-based and online casinos and sports betting goods, including the smartphone app Barstool Sportsbook. At Penn National casinos in the US, Penn Interactive currently operates 16 retail sportsbooks.
The Barstool Sportsbook app was released in September in Pennsylvania and was nationally the most downloaded sports betting and sports app during its initial launch weekend. It is due in the coming weeks to be released in Michigan.
The partnership with Xtremepush will allow Penn Interactive to understand and connect at an individual level with Barstool Sportsbook customers, providing the kind of world-class experiences that its clients have come to expect.
Tommy Kearns, Xtremepush’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Penn Interactive, a company with an exceptional track record of delivering high-calibre betting experiences. The Barstool Sportsbook venture looks certain to be a game-changer in the nascent U.S. market, and we’re delighted to play a role in helping it reach its audience.
“This deal speaks to our reputation in the global sports betting and gaming industry, where we are increasingly viewed as the go-to provider for engagement and personalisation technology, with clients across Europe, North America and Africa.”
Penn Interactive will in particular, aim to exploit Xtremepush’s real-time engagement, location-technology and personalization capabilities.
The solution that Penn Interactive has in place would allow it to offer individually tailored content and odds to each client, representing their personal betting interests (including their preferred sports, teams and typical bet-type).
