Affiliate marketing provider XLMedia has stepped in support of the ongoing restructuring plan of the organisation to restructure its executive leadership team.
XLMedia has defined a range of tasks and functions that it believes could be streamlined. It comes as the company looks to ‘leverage automation and outsourcing, whilst also gravitating toward increased editorial.’
Sarah Clark, who joined XLMedia in February 2020 as the Chief Development Officer, will now take on the position of Chief Operational Officer.
Clark will concentrate on developing the strategy feature of the organisation under the new position, as well as ‘evolving the shared service model while continuing to drive operational efficiencies across business.’
The selection of Xen Lategan as interim development consultant has also been confirmed. Having previously held positions at Microsoft and Google, Lategan specialises in digital media, publishing, and eCommerce.
Lategan joined XLMedia at News International where he was seen overseeing the roll-out of his new digital teams, networks and customer channels as Chief Technology Officer.
XLMedia’s chief executive officer Stuart Simms commented: “I joined XLMedia with the clear intention to orientate the Company towards a balanced portfolio of premium branded sites, in verticals and markets that deliver sustainable revenue growth. To support this transformation, we have been working diligently to augment our leadership team and operating structure, as well as to right-size the resources required for our business to operate most efficiently.
“Our transformation plan continues to gather momentum, and I am pleased to share our progress with all our major stakeholders, alongside welcoming new talent to the business.”
The changes are expected to deliver ‘over $5 m’ in annualised savings for the 2020 financial year according to XLMedia.
