WynnBET Strikes Sports Betting Agreement With NASCAR

NASCAR and WynnBET, Wynn Resorts’ digital gaming division responsible for the mobile sportsbook and casino app of the company, have struck a multi-year national sports betting agreement.

WynnBET will partner with the motor racing brand as an Authorized Gaming Operator of NASCAR to develop and facilitate engaging sports betting experiences for racing fans throughout the United States.

Tim Clark, SVP and Chief Digital Officer, NASCAR said: “We’re excited to partner with such a deeply experienced and innovative team to drive engagement and expand our sports betting offerings.

“Wynn is a trusted and iconic brand and our new relationship advances NASCAR’s position in the rapidly evolving gaming space while delivering fans with yet another live-in race engagement tool.”

WynnBET is officially presenting an application to become a legal gaming operator in the state of Virginia as the historic 2020 NASCAR season approaches its penultimate race this weekend. The Virginia state legislature passed a bill earlier this year that would allow sports betting and could issue up to 12 licences for online sports betting by the end of the year.

Craig Billings, President of Wynn Resorts said: “Like Wynn, NASCAR is an iconic brand. Together, Wynn Interactive and NASCAR will provide sports bettors in Virginia with one-of-a-kind experiences, both digitally and at NASCAR facilities in the Commonwealth.”

With two of its most famous tracks, Richmond Raceway and Martinsville Speedway, located in the state, NASCAR has a deep-rooted tradition in Virginia. WynnBET will become the Official Online Sportsbook of Martinsville Speedway and Richmond Raceway awaiting the approval of Wynn within Virginia, resulting in the construction of WynnBET Lounges at each venue.

The combination of Martinsville Speedway and Richmond Raceway will host four races per year in the NASCAR Cup Series, most of them in the country.

“We take great pride in providing fans with an unforgettable experience at our racetrack and WynnBET is best-in-class in delivering a premium experience to its customers,” said Clay Campbell, President Martinsville Speedway. “We are excited about what this new venture could mean for the Commonwealth of Virginia and for our loyal fans visiting our track in the years to come.”

Dennis Bickmeier, President, Richmond Raceway, commented: “Richmond Raceway and WynnBET have a number of shared attributes. We are both strong, trustworthy brands that believe deeply in customer hospitality and creating incredible experiences.

“We wish the Wynn well in their future endeavours here in the great Commonwealth of Virginia and look forward to years of successful partnership.”

WynnBET, including pre-race and in-play bets, will broaden the portfolio of bet forms offered on its mobile app during the NASCAR season. Bet styles that are currently being discussed include, among others, top-finishing drivers, driver matchups, stage winners and bets related to the winning car number (over / under).

As the sport continues to improve its position around in-play sports betting, WynnBET will deliver live, in-play betting through a collaboration with Genius Sports and live betting product Betgenius beginning in 2021.

NASCAR has expanded its sports betting handle across the board and in the last year, like Penn National Gaming, BetMGM and IMG Arena, has added blue chip partners in the room.
