William Hill US, in collaboration with Caesars Entertainment Grand Victoria Casino, has outlined the launch of its mobile sports betting app in the state of Illinois.
The William Hill mobile app is based on a proprietary platform with a biometric login and a quick-bet option, provides action on college and pro sports, with various choices for deposit and withdrawal, and includes props, parlays, futures and in-play wagering.
Earlier this summer, at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, the group launched the first retail sportsbook in Illinois, featuring three full-service ticket windows and marking the expansion of the business into The Prairie State.
William Hill also provides mobile sports betting services in the six states of Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Nevada , New Jersey and West Virginia as well as powering the trading services of the Rhode Island Lottery Mobile app.
William Hill launched its sports betting app and website earlier this month in the former of those areas, with the former Denver Broncos wide receiver and two-time Super Bowl Champion Rod Smith putting the first bet ceremonial.
The creation follows the operator ‘s entry into Colorado in July, a move that was made in collaboration with Isle Casino Hotel and the Black Hawk Lady Luck Casino.
Ken Fuchs, president of digital for William Hill, said of the group’s latest US expansion: “We’re excited to bring our top-performing mobile app to my hometown state of Illinois. We look forward to providing millions of sports fans in the state with the best markets and great service.”
PlayIllinois believes that the state will produce $9bn to $11bm in wagers annually and $650 m in gross operator revenue if the sector completely matures.
