Washington’s Quil Ceda Creek Casino Opens Its Doors

On February 3, the all-new Quil Ceda Creek Casino at Tulalip in Washington held its grand opening, welcoming the public to the Northwest’s next major gaming, dining and entertainment destination.

Tulalip Tribal land

The widely awaited new casino, more than twice the size of the current property across the street, stretches 126,000 square feet. A beautifully built and dramatically expanded main casino, a modern food hall and other dining options, an ambitious entertainment venue and a six-story parking garage will be highlighted. The new Quil Ceda Creek Casino is situated right off I-5 at exit 199, on 15 acres of Tulalip Tribal land.

Nicknamed the ‘Q’

The doors opened to customers at 10am after a Tulalip Tribes ceremony blessing the new “Q,” the nickname adopted by locals.   There will be minimal initial space, with a text messaging system telling guests when they can enter the casino.

The new Quil Ceda Creek Casino features 1,500 gaming machines (an improvement of 500 machines) and 16 table games (with three new tables and new games added). EZ Baccarat, a fast, easy-to-play game that follows the same game play format as baccarat and Craps with Fire Bet, are two brand new titles on the gaming floor. Spanish 21 Progressive and i-Roulette, an electronic chipless variant of Roulette, will also go live, joining Double Deck Blackjack, Roulette, Free Bet Blackjack, Fortune Pai-Gow Progressive and Ultimate Texas Hold’m Progressive. It will be a property that will not permit smoking or vaporising, instead providing visitors with dedicated smoking areas.

Ken Kettler, Tulalip Gaming Organisation President and COO, said: “We’re pleased with the extra we’ve been able to put on top of what was already a great success.”

‘More to Love’

Belinda Hegnes, Interim Executive VP of Quil Ceda Creek Casino added: “We can’t wait to show guests what we mean when we say there will be ‘More to Love’ in their gaming, dining and entertainment experience.

“We’ll continue to provide the friendly, casual guest experience we’re known for, but now in a larger facility with more room to enjoy all that we offer.”

With several programs, the new casino will continue to protect the health and safety of guests and team members: restricted space, guests and team members are expected to wear appropriately fitted masks, no-touch temperature controls carried out upon entry, social distancing, aggressive deep cleaning procedures, and closed areas of entertainment based on COVID-19 guidelines.  You can visit the casino’s website for more information on sanitation, hygiene and security measures.

New street improvements have been completed by the Tulalip Tribes to enhance the ease of access to the new facility.
