Washington Nationals Reveal BetMGM Partnership

A multi-year, exclusive partnership with BetMGM, a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain, was revealed by the Washington Nationals.

The collaboration will see the opening of a BetMGM sportsbook linked to the Nationals Park and the launch of a mobile app, as well as fan-focused campaigns and co-branding opportunities, within the approved area around the Park.

Sportsbook offer

A premium viewing and sports betting experience will be offered by the sportsbook, complementing the current experience at the MGM National Harbor Dugout Club, an eight-seat premier luxury sports box situated on the field adjacent to the dugout team.

First-class gathering place 

COO of Lerner Sports Group Alan Gottlieb, said: “The Nationals are thrilled to expand our strong partnership with MGM Resorts into the sports betting realm. “The BetMGM mobile app will enable our fans to engage with the game in new and exciting ways, while the BetMGM Sportsbook connected to Nationals Park will provide Nationals fans and the D.C. community with a first-class gathering place to celebrate their passion for sports together.”

In the space currently serving as Center Field Social, across Center Field Plaza from the Nationals team store, the newly produced sportsbook will be located. Fans will not be able to use it when they are watching a Nationals game, but fans will be able to place bets via the mobile app of BetMGM.

Unique benefits for members of loyalty programs of each partner

BetMGM branding will be presented inside Nationals Park as well as on the social media and digital channels of the team as the official sports betting partner of the Washington Nationals. The collaboration will also create unique benefits for members of the loyalty program of each partner: M Life Rewards of MGM Resorts and Red Carpet Rewards.

BetMGM is headquartered in 11 states and is hopeful that its mobile sportsbook will soon be released in Virginia, pending regulatory approval. MGM Resorts is Major League Baseball’s official gaming partner.
