Digital gaming service W88 has entered into a new deal with Crystal Palace FC which will see them become the Premier League team’s official front-of-shirt partner.
The W88 emblem will feature adult home, away and third jerseys on the front of the Club with the latest kit set to be unveiled later in this month.
Hilly Ehrlich, director of business growth at W88, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Crystal Palace, a club with a rich history in South London spanning more than a century.
“Apart from working closely with the Club’s management and players, we are also excited and looking forward to engaging with Palace fans, both in England and around the world, for a successful partnership. W88 has a global footprint and is a brand which represents integrity, trust and excellence.”
In 2018, in order to raise awareness of the dangers associated with gambling, Crystal Palace formed a collaboration with industry charity GambleAware to create advertising and marketing materials at Selhurst Park.
The association with W88 comes at a time of heightened concern over gambling sponsorships, with a recent study released by House of Lords calling for the sponsorship and venue advertising ban on sports teams kit.
Steve Parish, chairman of Crystal Palace F.C., added: “We are delighted to welcome W88 as a new Principal Partner and shirt sponsor for the 2020/21 season. As the Club begins a record eighth successive season in the Premier League, the most-watched league in the world, our international fanbase continues to grow.
“We share a common ambition to further extend our international footprint and we look forward to working in partnership with W88.”
