Spotlight Sports Group has announced the release of a new betting shop display screen, expanding its retail product line.
The Racing Post’s content will be incorporated into the display screens, integrating horse racing, virtual racing, and greyhound content with improved navigation and zoom capabilities.
Alan Pepperell, Retail Director said: “We design these products to ensure they cater for all betting shops, regardless of size. This release is our most significant to date with the launch of our latest content and the functionality of the screen.
“On one screen a customer can now get trusted Racing Post form, data and tipping on all the day’s racing from Britain, Ireland and across the world with our international racing coverage. Added to this, punters can now get early prices and morning tipping for every race and in-depth racing coverage with our big-race specials.”
Integrated odds feed with live content
Because of an integrated odds feed with live content, the latest product is the only betting shop display screen that includes Racing Post content in addition to serving as an early price screen.
In addition, the release includes a ‘big-race-special section,’ which focuses on major events including the Grand National and the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and provides in-depth tipping through an interactive show.
Entain is the first operator to start integrating the screens into its retail stores, beginning with ten Ladbrokes and Coral locations, while Joe Jennings started doing so in two locations this week.
“It’s been an incredibly tough year for betting shops and I truly hope we’re coming out the other side of it now,” Pepperell added.
“Throughout the past year of the pandemic we have kept dialogue as open with our retail customers as possible to ensure we are catering to their needs. This new display is based on their customer feedback and we know the latest functionality will improve their in-store betting experience.”
Superfeed content engine
The launch of this latest product comes after Spotlight launched Superfeed content engine offering for the US sports markets, which provides a feed of betting and editorial data for the four major American leagues.
Since establishing itself after emerging out of the Racing Post, the company is currently expanding its US activities, rebranding itself around the three “main business areas” of betting content, media partnerships, and trade solutions.
