Shape Games Receives First US State License In Colorado

Shape Games have been awarded their first US iGaming Vendor License after being approved to operate in Colorado.

The State’s gambling regulatory body, the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission, has approved the Danish company’s entry into the US, potentially opening the door for them to expand into other states across the country.

It is the latest deal that Shape Games have signed in North America, having previously inked deals with major operators including Bally’s. Outside of gambling, they have penned deals with huge companies including Apple, Ikea and Red Bull.

Shape Games have also helped develop applications for a number of companies in Europe such as Danske Spil, which is Denmark’s state-run gambling operator. They are now expected to build towards increasing their presence across North America.

“We’re very pleased to receive this approval as the first of multiple licences we are pursuing in order to be a leader in gaming services to the US market,” said Shape’s CEO Christian Risom.

“Colorado is one step in our plan to provide the leading consumer engagement platform for the gaming industry as it grows in the American market.

“Our clients say that our platform is the most modern, engaging and consumer-focused engine in the industry. That stems from our origin as a consumer app developer working with companies like Apple, Red Bull and Ikea.”

Morten Tonnesen, Shape Games’ CCO, added: “Our focus is on bringing consumer app best practices to iGaming for the benefit of our partner operators and their customers.

“The customisable apps are designed with user experience at the heart of the design process and makes our apps competitive with the popular entertainment apps that are vying for time-starved consumers.”
