Oneida Indian Nation has confirmed the reopening of The Lounge with Caesars Sports at Turning Stone, Point Place Casino and YBR Casino & Sports Book this week (July 22). With the start of professional baseball and the restart of professional basketball, guests will now be able to place wagers at the sportsbook windows and kiosks of every New York State venue.

Sports fans interested in enjoying the start of the professional baseball season and the restart of professional basketball in The Lounge with Caesars Sports will be expected to follow the same Safer Together protocols as all venues in the Oneida Indian Country.

Health and safety precautions include restricting entry to the property for visitors coming from one of the 22 states listed as having increased incidents, requiring a valid identification and compulsory face coverings. As face coverings for Caesars Sports are not feasible inside The Lounge, physical distance and occupancy limits of 50 per cent will also be implemented.

The ambitious Safer Together Reopening Health & Safety Plan for the Oneida Indian Nation adopts best practises from gaming and hospitality venues around the world, and integrates input from community stakeholders, including neighbouring municipalities.

For all staff working in direct contact with guests, including in all restaurants, at registration desks and on the gaming floors, gloves will be required. Every employee who enters the workplace will be subject to daily non-invasive thermal temperature checks and brief survey questions to identify potential coronavirus exposure.

Enhanced cleaning measures include new technology alerting guests with an on-screen notification of the exact time slot machines were last sanitised; and HVAC air switching levels will be maintained at significantly higher capacity and exceed those required by the standard trade code.
