Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has confirmed the launch of its TwinSpires Sports and TwinSpires Casino & Sports mobile apps in Indiana and Pennsylvania, respectively, this week.
The app’s launch in both states coincides with CDI’s move to rebrand BetAmerica to TwinSpires. With the TwinSpires Sports mobile app and desktop product, the company also announced the launch of its online sports betting operations in Colorado late last week.
TwinSpires President Ian Williams had this to say: “We are excited to offer our state-of-the-art sportsbook app and market leading promotions in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Colorado a week before our biggest event of the year, the Kentucky Derby.
“Because we are backed by Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby, we can leverage nearly 150 years of wagering history to offer the best sports betting experience. Now players in these states can place their bets on both sports and next Saturday’s Run for the Roses through TwinSpires.”
Sports availability
Professional sports such as the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and PGA, as well as college sports and competitions from around the world, will now be available to TwinSpires players in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.
Traditional casino games such as blackjack and roulette, as well as a wide range of online slots and ‘live dealer’ games, will be available to online casino players in Pennsylvania.
Through a technology platform operated by GAN Limited and Kambi Group PLC, CDI launched the first TwinSpires Sportsbook and igaming platform in January 2021.
Following that, the company launched TwinSpires Sports mobile apps in Michigan, Tennessee, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Colorado, as well as TwinSpires Casino mobile apps in Pennsylvania and Colorado.
