After forging a relationship with Liv Hospitality’s Tin Lizzie and Cadillac Jack’s Gaming Resorts, sports betting and igaming operator BetMGM is preparing to offer retail and mobile sports betting in Deadwood, South Dakota.
The Deadwood Sports Betting Legalization Amendment, which was approved by voters on November 3, 2020, allows the South Dakota State Legislature to legalise sports betting in the city.
Ideal partner
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said: “Liv Hospitality’s prime resort locations in Deadwood make it an ideal partner for us. Together, we look forward to bringing the BetMGM sports betting experience to South Dakota sports fans.”
BetMGM’s mobile app will be available in both venues starting next month, pending regulatory permission, and will complement a retail sportsbook that will comprise kiosks and counter wagering.
Liv Hospitality’s CEO, Caleb Arceneaux, added: “BetMGM is an outstanding organization that brings credibility to our new sports betting offerings. Visitors now have another reason to come to Deadwood, while enjoying the many other entertainment opportunities at our resorts.”
BetMGM announced new retail and online sports betting contracts with Gila River Hotels & Casinos and the Arizona Cardinals earlier this month, marking the company’s first in Arizona.
