The flagship Unibet brand of the Kindred Group has formed an agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles, which marks the first NFL franchise casino sponsorship.
The online gambling operator is now an official partner of the led side of Doug Pederson on a multi-year basis under the terms of the agreement.
Unibet will earn a permanent branding identity on the newly built northwest suites situated at the home of the Eagles’ Lincoln Financial Field at the main competition.
Signage will also be displayed prominently on the ‘Eagles Nest Tower,’ the digital billboard of the stadium, but it is stipulated that the deal does not include any sports betting promotional rights.
In addition to Lincoln Financial Field branding, Unibet will receive exposure through a number of digital and print assets including PhiladelphiaEagles.com, team publications, and social media channels.
Catherine Carlson, senior vice president of revenue and strategy at the Philadelphia Eagles stated: “Unibet’s reputation as a global leader in the online gambling space has helped the company establish a strong, emerging footprint in the Philadelphia market.
“We are proud to align ourselves with a company that is fully dedicated to innovation, the customer experience, and responsible gaming.”
This latest link-up extends the presence of brands within the state of Pennsylvania, having partnered with Mohegan Sun Pocono earlier this month to provide online gambling in the Commonwealth.
Online gambling will be available online in Pennsylvania in the coming weeks via Unibet’s website and apps, with the company having been in New Jersey since June.
“As we look to grow our footprint in the US, it only made sense to partner with one of the largest, most respected and loved teams in the NFL,” said Arnas Janickas, head of US marketing at Unibet. “The Eagles unmatched fan engagement and relentless innovation in digital space definitely helped to make this partnership a reality.”
