Turf Paradise Racetrack has signed a multi-year totalizator services deal with AmTote International, a product of 1/ST Technologies, one of horse racing’s biggest and racing and gaming technology companies, and a major wagering technology provider in the United States.
Turf Paradise will get cutting-edge technologies as part of the deal, which will improve the betting environment for its clients.
Included in the upgrade
The upgrade includes year-round simulcast wagering on the racetrack and an initial OTB network of 38 cities, with the total expected to rise to more than 50 by 2021. The V3000 self-serve terminals and the F3000 reversible teller or self-serve terminal are among the latest AmTote technologies. AmTote’s MBet app also allows users to take advantage of mobile betting.
Via its XB NET venture, 1/ST TECHNOLOGY already provides exclusive fixed-odds betting services and delivery at Turf Paradise. The firm claims to be perfectly poised to draw on the changing sports-betting scene in a heavily competitive US marketplace as a pioneer in pari-mutuel and fixed-odds betting on North American horse racing.
Pari-mutuel and fixed-odds wagering
The ability to provide players with both pari-mutuel and fixed-odds wagering in lockstep demonstrates that these markets can be strongly complementary over time, resulting in substantial demand expansion, player education, and product diversification, according to the company.
Finally, 1/ST TECHNOLOGY hopes to ensure the long-term viability of pulsating, high-class horse racing through wise stewardship and rollout, modernising a common heritage sport for a savvy modern audience on a global scale.
Keith Johnson, Chief Revenue Officer, said: “We very much look forward to ushering in a new era at Turf Paradise from the wagering technology evolution perspective, in addition to our broader agreement to support Turf Paradise’s efforts to distribute its horse racing content and wagering on a global scale now encompassing both fixed-odds and pari-mutuel betting opportunities. We’re confident these milestone developments can reignite horse racing’s consumer economy.”
He added: “Moreover, it’s fantastic to see AmTote and Turf Paradise racetrack working in unison to return value back to North American racing in these challenging times. Securing this long-term collaboration confirms 1/ST TECHNOLOGY’s commitment to the sport and its wider status as the leading international provider of North American racing. This deal is a ringing endorsement of our business model and the combined diligence of our multi-faceted team.
“During the pandemic, North American horse racing has been one of very few elite sports that has been able to maintain both a solid timetable and a high bar for quality and data integrity with rapid-cycling content that can fill any live sports wagering scheduling gaps.”
