As Vice President, North America, Swedish B2B white label app provider Triggy AB has hired Darran Miner to spearhead its growth strategy in the rapidly moving US sports betting market.
Miner, who is the first US recruit for Triggy, brings with him more than 20 years of experience in sports marketing and betting. More recently, he headed the New York Racing Association’s marketing and sales activities, including overseeing ticketing promotion and wagering verticals, as well as sponsorships.
The company saw consistent growth in sales revenue during Miner ‘s tenure at NYRA and smashed many betting records. In particular, the 2019 meeting at the Saratoga Race Course set a record for managing all-sources with more than $700 m wagered during the meeting.
Bjorn Nilsson, Company Co-Founder, welcomed Miner’s appointment, saying: “We are excited to have Darran join the Triggy team as we launch our business in North America. We believe we have a fantastic product that will revolutionize the in-play betting market in the US and believe Darran is the perfect person to build our team in the states.”
The popularity of existing non-US in-play betting markets and the potential for the state-side genre were cited by Miner. “The in-play betting market is well established in Europe and Asia and it’s starting to gain traction here in the US,” he said. “I’m excited to join the Triggy team and bring our industry leading technology to bettors throughout North America.”
