The launch of GolfBet, the first ever golf-focused betting content network, has been confirmed by PGA Tour and The Action Network.
The website of GolfBet will feature weekly articles by well-known experts such as Jason Sobel, Josh Perry and Peter Jennings, while forming alliances with other media companies to improve the system.
The network will be operated by The Action Network and made available on the mobile app offered by the sports media group. The PGA Tour will also provide a range of content distribution assets to the new platform including footage rights to support video content from GolfBet, and official data.

After working with Genius Sports in 2018 to protect the integrity of gambling in golf tournaments, the PGA Tour, one of the leading golf competitions, recently welcomed the sports betting industry with open arms.
Gambuzza further added: “In a typical PGA TOUR season, there are approximately 1.2 million golf shots taken across our schedule.
“This represents a massive opportunity for in-play betting, new types of markets for operators who have access to official PGA TOUR data, and tremendous opportunities for content generation. The latest launch is also expected to support IMG ARENA, a regional partner of the organisation. The betting company will gain more visibility across the GolfBet site, which aims to provide more information to punters who want to bet on PGA events.

For the foreseeable future GolfBet content is projected to be completely subscription-free. The PGA TOUR and Action Network plans to work with domestic media partners in the sector, hoping to expand the reach of all brands to a global market.
