For its recently secured racing alliance with France’s PMU, Svenska Spel employed London-based live streaming solutions provider Red Bee Media to establish a personalised OTT viewing service.
Svenska Spel, announced at the beginning of September, agreed to extend its racing content and markets substantially, ensuring complete access to all PMU regular racing fixtures to be shown live on its digital platforms and retail estates.
The management of Svenska Spel stressed the value of its PMU alliance, in which Sweden’s state-owned gambling operator aims to” revitalise its trotting and gallop segment by integrating regular fixtures from PMU, the largest racing operator in Europe.
Svenska Spel will add PMU races to its daily ‘High Five’ racing pool of more significance, re-engaging clients with its legacy wagering product.
Svenska Spel has charged Red Bee with the distribution and management of its personalised on-demand streaming service that broadcasts PMU fixtures in order to upgrade its racing content.
Red Bee is a specialist in the development of customised end-to – end OTT solutions , providing sports, telecoms, entertainment and live events with broadcast rights and geo-protected video channels for companies.
Custom OTT solutions for MTV, France24, BTSport, RTE Ireland and Canal + have been created by Red Bee.
