Rush Street Gaming believes that it has marked the beginning of a “new gaming and entertainment era” in Philadelphia as its SugarHouse Casino transforms officially into Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
A multitude of upgrades have been made to the establishment that debuted on the Pennsylvania market nine years ago, representing a $15 m investment in the property.
Among them is the new $5 m “state-of – the-art” BetRivers sportsbook, a revamped gaming floor and enhanced food and beverage outlets, with owners emphasising that the investment is a “continued commitment to be a proud community partner with the city.”
The property announced a collaboration with the Wells Fargo Center earlier this month, which saw the launch of two new sports lounges to complement its property agency.
Around 100 screens are exhibited across the pair of “high-tech” lounges as part of a multi-year collaboration with the arena and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Rush Street Gaming and its affiliates also boast three other branded Rivers entities in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Des Plaines, Illinois, and Schenectady, New York, and hopes to add one more via Rivers Casino Waukegan along with Churchill Downs Incorporated.
Greg Carlin, CEO of Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Rush Street Gaming stated: “Having a unified brand will provide a seamless customer experience across the Commonwealth with our bricks-and-mortar casinos, mobile and online, and even our sportsbooks, all part of the Rivers Casino family.”
As part of the rebranded $1 m annual donation to the Penn Treaty Special Services District is to proceed under the umbrella of’ Rivers Gives,’ which is also to develop donation sites adjacent to the gaming floor where patrons can support monthly initiatives that advantage local non-profits.
The company has also become a presenting sponsor of the annual fireworks on the waterfront on New Year’s Eve, which sees the facility being set up to present two year-end shows.
“We’re excited for our guests to experience all the incredible new features Rivers Casino Philadelphia has to offer,” added Rob Long, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
“We’re supremely devoted to our terrific team members and our loyal guests. It’s a privilege for Rivers to be a longstanding partner to the Fishtown community and to Philly.”
