Stats Perform, data and AI specialist, has signed an agreement with the United Soccer League (USL) to secure long-term official betting data rights for the two professional domestic leagues in the league, the USL Championship and the USL League One.
The USL contract is directly matching the firm’s obtaining of official data rights for national team games for Major League Soccer (MLS) and US Men and Women.
The deal further expands an earlier arrangement to be the official data provider of USL matches to newspapers and broadcasting with the USL for Stats Perform. As a part of the agreement, the official data used for rating and settling bets should be consistent with the data on other official platforms and broadcasts described as vital to ensuring reliable bettor and operator experience.
Alex Rice, Chief Rights Officer for Stats Perform comments: “Soccer is the undisputed biggest betting sport in the world, which means hundreds of licensed sportsbooks and millions of bettors trust us to power their entertainment by collecting data with the utmost professionalism and integrity.”
Official game, squad and player details will be made available to approved sportsbooks and betting feed partners for over 1,000 USL football matches each season through the company’s RunningBall event feed and opta player data services. Coverage includes USL Championship Soccer and USL League 1 Soccer, as well as additional competitive potential.
Lizzie Seedhouse, USL SVP for Digital & Emerging Technology and Strategy said: “The USL is excited to partner with Stats Perform as we continue to explore the landscape of sports betting. Though a seemingly ever-changing landscape, the USL’s priority remains quality and integrity of its data, two qualities that Stats Perform carries as a proven leader in this space.”
Registered USL data rights enter other tournaments in the official betting data collection of Stats Perform available to licenced operators that includes Spanish La Liga soccer, French Ligue 1 soccer, German Bundesliga soccer, and various other soccer leagues along with official cricket data, official basketball data and more.
We are pleased to announce Stats Perform has secured the long-term official betting data rights for the #USL’s two profesional domestic leagues, @USLChampionship and @USLLeagueOne, for distribution to licensed sportsbooks and #DFS operators.
