Stars Sign Brian ‘True Geordie’ Davis To PokerStars Brand

YouTuber Brian “True Geordie” Davis has been signed by the Stars Group to its PokerStars brand, saying that he is “delighted” to offer his fans a “massive passion.”

Following Neymar Jr and Gotaga’s latest announcements, PokerStars has continued to grow its line-up with the English YouTuber, who hopes to face the best in the game one day.

Davis remarked: “People who know me well know that I give 100% to anything I enjoy and poker is no different. I’ve even drafted in some experts to train me with the hope that one day I might be able to face the best in the game.

“PokerStars are the best at what they do and becoming a member of the team really is a proud moment for me. I have to say a big thank you to PokerStars, who are ahead of the game in supporting digital creators and their content.

“Over the next twelve months, I hope to improve my game, play with my audience and against some of the best players in the world to show just how entertaining, fun and mentally challenging poker can be.”

Fans will look forward to True Geordie live streams playing home games and freerolls, with the chance to play along with him.

The signing follows PokerStars’ latest global brand update as it tries to evolve beyond just a commodity in an attempt to become a global entertainment brand. The update included the first dedicated safe gambling TV advertisements from PokerStars.

The signing of Brazil and Paris Saint Germain footballer Neymar Jr. was confirmed by PokerStars earlier this month.

Commenting on the partnership, Martin Nieri, PokerStars Global Brand & Creative Director, said: “Neymar Jr is a true global superstar. But what underpins this partnership is his genuine love for poker. It’s about a shared passion for the game and the beautiful uncertainty at the heart of it.

“At PokerStars, we are constantly trying new things to bring new energy, excitement, and entertainment to our customers. Together with Neymar Jr we believe we can take this to the next level for the PokerStars community.”
