STARS Lottery Officially Launch 9th Edition Across Saskatchewan

The Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) Lottery of Canada has officially launched its 9th edition throughout the province of Saskatchewan, offering prizes worth more than $4.2 million and helping in the ‘fight to save lives.’

The lottery is the biggest STARS fundraiser in the province, with the lottery offering ticket holders with an ability to win over 1,800 ‘life-changing prizes’ such as luxurious cars, dream holidays, cash, equipment, appliances and two fully furnished display homes.

In addition to the lottery awards, during the current health pandemic, the non-profit helicopter air ambulance organisation is expected to continue the task in caring for both seriously sick and wounded patients in communities across Saskatchewan. Those under organisation’s care include presumptive and confirmed patients with COVID-19.

Andrea Robertson, president and CEO of STARS, commented: “STARS relies on community support to stay operational, and while many of our fundraising events have been postponed or cancelled, we are grateful to be able to continue with our annual lottery.

“The lottery gives our allies the chance to win terrific prizes and helps to ensure we can continue to fight for the lives of critically ill and injured people across Saskatchewan.”

The lottery’s ninth edition features the largest early bird prize package ever from STARS, with a truck, trailer, toys and $100,000 – all valued at $346,589 – up for grabs. In addition , the group will continue with its LUCKY STARS 50/50 variant which rewards the winner with up to $900,000, the biggest 50/50 payout ever made by Saskatchewan.

Each ticket purchased is eligible to win all applicable prizes if purchased before the June 25 deadline for early bird ticket sales and the July 16 deadline for final ticket sales. With respect to 50/50 tickets, those must be purchased in conjunction with the main tickets to the lottery.

Usually launched from Pilot Butte and Greenbryre Estates, the current COVID has caused social distancing and restrictions on gathering have made physical tickets unavailable for purchase.

Tickets can therefore be purchased at or by calling 1-844-STARS SK (782-7775), with prices starting at $60 for the main lottery and $10 for the 50/50.
