A new agreement with the Board of Cricket Control in India ( BCCI) has been signed by Sportradar Integrity Services, which will see the sports integrity solutions provider track any betting violations during the 2020 Indian Premier League.
Sportradar will help the BCCI’s anti-corruption unit to track and safeguard the integrity of the matches as part of the agreement.
Executive director of Sportradar Integrity Services Andreas Krannich commented: “It is an honour to partner with the BCCI for the 2020 IPL season. As the global leader in sporting integrity, we hope to provide our expertise and help protect the tournament against integrity related issues.
“We know that the BCCI takes integrity seriously, and we look forward to working alongside them throughout the tournament and providing our support to their integrity programme.”
In addition, Sportradar will also provide the BCCI with a risk evaluation powered by data-driven insights and intelligence. In addition, during the duration of the agreement, if appropriate, the BCCI would be able to call on Sportradar ‘s Intelligence and Investigation Services.
Sportradar ‘s presence in India is further strengthened by the alliance, having previously secured agreements with the Indian Super League and Pro Kabaddi League.
