Sportradar has added a multi-year extension to its deal with the Hero Indian Super League, India’s premier football league (Hero ISL).
Sportradar Integrity Services will track all matches using its Fraud Detection System (FDS) that detects betting-related manipulation in sport, building on their initial agreement, which was signed in 2016.
The FDS uses algorithms, a substantial knowledge database, and expert experts that help detect match-fixing and sports cheating instances.
Managing Director Andreas Krannich of Sportradar Integrity Services commented: “Hero ISL renewing its partnership with us only shows how committed they are towards maintaining integrity in the game and proactive towards the growth of football in the subcontinent.
“As a global leader in sporting integrity, we want to continue to provide our expertise and help protect the tournament against all integrity-related issues.”
In addition, Sportradar will also provide access to its specialist Intelligence & Investigation Services (I&I) to the Hero ISL, if required, to further their efforts to uphold the integrity of sports across the league.
Sportradar currently provides some of the world’s largest leagues and federations with its integrity programmes, including FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
This recent extension to its Hero ISL agreement further extends the reach of Sportradar in India, having previously secured agreements with both the Pro Kabaddi League and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
