After signing a new deal with international cricket almanack Wisden, Snack Media has expanded its collaboration network.
The new partnership with Wisden, introduced as the ‘independent voice of cricket,’ would allow Snack Media to increase its digital revenue by monetising content, increasing traffic through its fan engagement tools, and using SEO strategies.
James Murphy, head of Snack Media’s partner network commented: “Following on from the acquisition of GiveMeSport it was great to also partner up with another reputable brand and publisher in the sporting world.
“Wisden has been one of the most respected brands in world sport for over 100 years. Working together is a great opportunity to support the team as they retain the brand’s heritage and transform their digital offering.”
Through the partnership, Snack Media praised the ‘immediate impact’ it has already had, having increased the visibility of the display by around 30 percent and increased the UK Display CPM by more than 200 percent.
Wisden MD Ian Sykes added: “Having identified the 2020 domestic cricket season as being a very important period for the strategic growth of wisden.com, we set out to get a number of key elements in place by mid-April, including a partner to serve our programmatic advertising.
“However, we needed to carefully consider both the Wisden brand and user experience, so a simple plug in and play solution wouldn’t work for us. Snack Media understood this from the outset, and so far their consultative approach has played a significant part in growing the site both in terms of traffic and performance.”
