Since acquiring a new Gibraltar licence and entering into a content-based relationship with casino network provider Iforium, Skywind Group has carried out two extensions of its global reach.
The igaming company received green-lights in the UK, Malta, Romania, Alderney and Spain over the course of 2019, with approval due to take place in Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and Italy as well.
Ori Monheit, Chief Compliance Officer and Legal Officer of Skywind, said: “The grant of the Gibraltar gaming license is another major milestone for Skywind and is in line with our overall strategy for rapid expansion into regulated markets.”
Lauding the approval as “latest in an unprecedentedly swift acquisition of a series of licences and certifications,” operators across multiple jurisdictions are being approved to bring the Skywind Suite on board.
Oren Cohen Shwartz, Skywind Group Europe managing director, commented on a “statement of intent” by the firm: “The state of regulations is changing and the direct impact that has on revenue streams dictates the operators’ need to expand to new regulated markets. They can’t be overly dependent on a single market.
“Our strategy involves entering as many regulated markets as possible so that our partners can enrol our premium games and innovative engagement tools in as many markets as possible.
“We are the enablers, which is the reason we are already planning to enter Switzerland, Colombia and several CEE markets while preparing the groundwork for the soon-to-be regulated markets.”
Skywind also rolled out a connexion to Iforium with the online casino aggregator centred on Isle of Man to incorporate the group’s slot portfolio into its Gameflex network.
“What a fantastic way to end the year by welcoming Skywind to our Gameflex platform! I’m thrilled with this partnership and together we will enable our operator partners to tap into Skywind’s exciting content portfolio that supports a multitude of regulated markets,” noted Phil Parry, Iforium’s chief executive officer.
This offer provides Iforium’s consumers with exposure to a gaming collection that includes Lothar Matthaus – Be a Winner, Downton Abbey, Rambo, Bloodsport, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Last Kingdom, recently launched, and La Casa de Papel.
