Silverbond Enterprises, which operates the Mayfair, London, Park Lane Club casino, has said it would appeal against the loss of its licence.
Following a change of ownership, the Gambling Commission revoked the operator ‘s licence for its land-based casino.
It claimed that the new owner was not in a position to prove the source of funds for the purchase of Silverbond and that it was not sure that it would have given a licence to the operator if the new owner had been in place when the original application was made.
In a statement, Silverbond said: “Silverbond Enterprises Ltd has confirmed that it will be submitting an appeal to the First Tier Tribunal against the decision of the Regulatory Panel of the Commission to revoke the operating licence. The appeal will be submitted before 18 November 2020.”
