After announcing the appointment of Cathryn Lai as SVP and general manager for the US sector, Scientific Games has made moves to improve its digital business unit.
On Monday 19 October, Lai, who brings a wealth of industry experience through product management , marketing, brand management, events, and process improvement, took up the job.
She previously worked for a two-year period as senior vice president of the company ‘s brands, markets and gaming operations, before which Lai held the position of vice president of brands and strategy.
Lai explained, discussing the promotion: “I’m delighted to be joining the digital team at Scientific Games. As a team, we have significant momentum across igaming and sports betting.
“I am hugely excited about the opportunity to work with all of our customers and teams across the US to strengthen our relationships and further showcase the power of SG Digital’s technology and services.”
Scientific Games says that Lai will be actively involved in the US operations of SG Digital, which have seen substantial growth following many new business alliances in the igaming and sports betting product areas of the division.
The company expects more growth in the coming months to meet the growing demands of its ever-expanding customer base in the US, as strong interest from operators in its products continues to drive continued momentum.
