SG To Release James Bond Game Through 22 Lotteries

Scientific Games last week announced that it is releasing its latest official James Bond 007 games with a total of 22 U.S. and international lotteries. The Instant lottery games provider has expanded the James Bond 007 brand through their gaming entertainment ecosystem, including lottery, social and casino goods.

The lottery games coincide with the 25th film James Bond, No Time To Die, to be released worldwide in theatres beginning April 2, 2020 in the UK and April 10, 2020 in the USA. Lotteries in Massachusetts, Maine, Pennsylvania, Israel and Switzerland were first to introduce the James Bond 007 games. Three lotteries will thus far market the James Bond 007 games to players in both retail and online / mobile shops.

At over $43 million in retail sales in 19 weeks, James Bond 007 game sold out from the Massachusetts Lottery’s $5 (USD) and Lottery officials said the game was doing very well.

In the U.S., 11 state lotteries are expected to compete in the James Bond Lottery Challenge related game of Scientific Games, a second chance offering winners and their friends a five-day / four-night trip to Las Vegas in 2021 where the winner will have the opportunity to participate in the James Bond Lottery Challenge. Winners will get a chance to win up to $1 million or more in cash prizes. In turn, the winners must compete in a bonus event to win up to $100,000 in bonus cash prizes.

Six lotteries will launch separate James Bond 007 games worldwide, and five lotteries will launch NO TIME TO DIE themed games online. New domestic and international lotteries to continue James Bond 007 games are currently under consideration with Scientific Games.

Massachusetts Lottery’s Chief Marketing Officer Ed Farley said: “The Mass Lottery is very selective with licensed games, but James Bond 007 tested strongly in focus groups across a wide range of our players. We were confident that Scientific Games’ elegant design of the ticket, the $1 million top instant prize, and the added thrill of the second-chance experience in Las Vegas, would collectively make this a very appealing and successful game.”

Kyle Rogers, Executive VP of Scientific Games Lottery Licensing, said: “We continue to lead the gaming entertainment industry with licensed brands and linked games that generate incredible excitement with players and provide once-in-a-lifetime prizes and unique experiences. With over a decade of experience, Scientific Games understands how to connect players with the lottery brand and with brands like James Bond 007 in relevant and memorable ways.”
