Scientific Games has teamed with Casino Del Sol to power SolSports, the casino’s first sportsbook.
Scientific Games will install its comprehensive OpenSports platform solution with Casino Del Sol, a Pascua Yaqui Tribe operation in Tucson, Arizona, as part of the arrangement.
Casino Del Sol’s CEO, Kimberly Van Amburg, said: “In launching our first sportsbook, we partnered with Scientific Games due to their technical expertise.
“The OpenSports solution is a robust and scalable platform that can withstand all the pressures associated with major sporting events, while providing customers with an extensive range of markets.
“We are confident our guests will enjoy the new SolSports sportsbook and we can’t wait to go live later this year.”
Sports betting availability
Sports betting will be available at a retail sportsbook on site at Casino Del Sol, as well as self-service sports betting kiosks around the casino and at its sister property, Casino of the Sun, under the terms of the deal.
Furthermore, Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun will have access to the comprehensive sports betting offering, which combines the OpenBet engine’s performance with the versatility of OpenTrade, Don Best Sports’ full risk and liability management solution.
The two casinos will allow users to wager on OpenSports’ vast choice of sports betting markets, while also providing the operators with a platform that has a long history of functioning at the highest levels during the world’s most prestigious sporting events.
SVP & GM US, Digital at Scientific Games, Cathryn Lai, added: “Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun have both worked tirelessly to become leading casinos in Arizona and we are sure this new partnership can go from strength to strength in the newly regulated state.
“We believe Arizona’s sports betting market will grow rapidly in size and we look forward to providing customers with a first-class offering.”
Following the legalisation of sports betting in Arizona in April 2021, the agreement is the latest addition to Scientific Games’ growing network of tribal customers across North America. It is also the company’s first market foray into Arizona.
