SG Give Contract For Scratcher Games In Colombia

Building on its long-standing partnership with the District of Colombia, Scientific Games has by the Office of Lottery and Gaming, been given a new one-year contract that will see it offer instant Scratchers games.

With an optional extension of up to four years, the agreement would also see Experimental Games directly benefit the citizens and the region’s economic prosperity by possible full profit generation.

John Schulz, Senior VP Instant Products for Scientific Games, stated: “Scientific Games is honoured to continue serving as a trusted business partner to the DC Lottery. Our more than 45 years of experience creating, manufacturing and managing instant games has resulted in products that responsibly drive maximum revenues for our lottery partners such as the DC Lottery.”

The 2019 fiscal year saw the retail scratchers revenues of the DC Lottery reach more than $51 m with Scientific Games responsible for producing some of the best performing Scratchers of the DC Lottery in that period.

These high-performing Scratchers included SLINGO, the $3 and 50X top-selling game, the $5 top-selling game, as well as a number of other $2 and $10 top-selling games.

Beth Bresnahan, DC Lottery executive director added: “There is a significant opportunity for growth in our instant portfolio. We are pleased to continue our longtime, successful relationship with Scientific Games through this new contract which will help the DC Lottery to continue our mission of maximising revenue returned to the General Fund to support the District’s vital public programs and essential services.”

Scientific Games has provided the District of Columbia with creative Scratches game entertainment since the DC Lottery was introduced in 1982, with the organisation’s recent successful hits including its $1 2020 game filled with $20 prizes; the $5 Washington Touchdown football theme; $20 Roaring Cash with an Art Deco / Great Gatsby-era design; and the second $30 game for the Lottery, Capital Fortune.
