SG And Golden Nugget Add Sports Wagering To Partnership

Scientific Games and Golden Nugget, the US casino operator, have rolled out an expansion of their ongoing igaming partnership and added sports wagering to the agreement.

Building on its long-term partnership and lauded as a “multi-state, multi-product, multi-channel agreement,” the company will deliver its Golden Nugget solutions across numerous jurisdictions up to and possibly beyond 2024.

Jordan Levin, group chief executive of Scientific Games Digital, said of the expanded partnership: “Following Golden Nugget’s transition to our solutions, we look forward to launching sports on top of our long-standing player account and igaming relationship.

“Golden Nugget has a wide player base across the US, having pioneered the igaming space in New Jersey from its earliest days, and we’re excited to power their sports betting and igaming presence, providing a seamless and reliable end-to-end betting experience.”

The deal sees Scientific Games delivering its OpenGaming system across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as spreading further jurisdictions and legalisation across the nation.

Golden Nugget strives to further enhance its igaming presence through the OGS content aggregation platform, portal and account management solution for the players.

Golden Nugget also chose to use the full OpenSports product suite as well as manage Don Best Sports’ trading services. OpenSports rollout will begin in the Garden State with mobile sports betting, with additional regions to be implemented as new states start.

The arrangement also gives the option to roll out OpenSports across multiple states, such as New Jersey, Mississippi and Nevada, to retail locations.

Thomas Winter, Golden Nugget senior vice president and general manager of online gaming, said: “We have a long history with Scientific Games, and their technology is a cornerstone of our sports betting and igaming strategy. We’re thrilled to continue working with them to bring a consistent and best-in-class experience to our players across multiple products, nationwide.”
