Scientific Games has expanded its relationship with the BetMGM gaming and sports betting joint venture of MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings.
Lauded as a “major partnership” with BetMGM and the associated brands of the company, including BetMGM Casino, Borgata Online and PartyCasino NJ, the organisation will launch games exclusively through SG’s OpenGaming System throughout New Jersey and other controlled US states.
Dylan Slaney, SVP of gaming and digital at Scientific Games, said of the deepened collaboration: “Extending our well-established partnership with BetMGM is a sign of our commitment to the US igaming market and successful collaboration between our companies.
“As part of the deal, we’ll be providing BetMGM with cutting-edge content and better game and player management tools, all to deliver the ultimate online casino experience to their player base.
“The work our teams have undertaken to establish OpenGaming as the go-to entertainment platform is second to none and we’re looking forward to working with the BetMGM team as they expand across the US.”
BetMGM will run the company’s OpenGaming software range, including the OpenGaming System, which integrates in-house content and third-party games, as part of an expanded agreement. A suite of player engagement tools including free spins and jackpot features designed to further drive their igaming offering will also be accessible to the operator.
OpenGaming is now alive with the activities of BetMGM in New Jersey, with a road paved for future expansion into Pennsylvania and other states in the US.
Matthew Sunderland, vice president of gaming at BetMGM, added: “Scientific Games have been a first-class igaming partner to BetMGM, consistently giving our casino management the best tools and games to offer our players.
“This builds on a well-established partnership, and Scientific Games will continue to be a key igaming partner for us as we extend our operational reach in the coming years.”
