This week, Scientific Games Corporation and BetSwap Ltd, the first fully developed online secondary platform for sportsbooks, announced a new relationship.
The BetSwap network, which will be built into SG’s OpenArena solution, enables bettors to purchase and sell active bet slips with other bettors on their favourite sportsbook before or after a match, as long as the result has not yet been decided.
Betswap app and platform
Meanwhile, BetSwap’s plug-in app enables online sportsbooks to establish a fully integrated online secondary market. Sportsbooks will engage their bettors in new ways by incorporating the BetSwap app, which provides a website and networking elements for purchasing and selling bet slips.
The BetSwap platform, which complements the conventional cash-out functionality, will be easy to allow for sportsbooks thanks to the incorporation into OpenArena.
Peer-to-peer marketplace enhances OpenArena network
According to SG, the inclusion of this peer-to-peer marketplace enhances the OpenArena network service and allows sportsbooks to improve bettors’ participation and generate new revenue streams that were previously unavailable.
SVP Sportsbook, Digital at SG, Keith O’Loughlin, said: “BetSwap’s forward-thinking offering is a great addition to our OpenArena solution and will give users new betting experiences which is always a key focus for us; to bring new and innovative tools to our products. The partnership with BetSwap encapsulates just that.”
BetSwap Limited’s Co-Founder and CEO, Brent Winston, said: “We are very excited to be partnering with Scientific Games in order to bring our innovative solution with industry-first functionality to the sports betting industry. We believe this partnership will provide an enjoyable and competitive new way for bettors to interact with their sportsbook – and other bettors – all while enhancing their betting experiences.”
