The Nigerian football legend and Interwetten brand ambassador Yakubu Ayegbeni is to open SBC Digital Summit Africa with an exclusive interview.
The interview on 6 October 2020, the opening day of the African betting and gaming industry virtual gathering, will see the former footballer discussing his playing career and his work with the newly launched Nigerian sportsbook of Interwetten.
Delegates would be able to ask questions about Yakubu ‘s career, which saw him represent Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup, four Nations African Cup finals and the 2000 Olympics.
He won twice at club level with Maccabi Haifa in the Israeli Premier League, before his Champions League goal scoring exploits secured him a move to the English Premier League. During spells with Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton and Blackburn Rovers he scored 95 times in 252 games, and also played an important role in Middlesbrough’s successful run to the 2006 UEFA Cup Final.
The session starts with a busy two-day conference schedule running alongside a programme of skills seminars and networking roundtables, as well as an immersive exhibition.
