Local sportsbook provider PointsBet has partnered with live casino specialists Evolution Gaming as the firm seeks to expand its online gambling operation across the US market.
Coming hot on the heels of exclusive gaming agreements with Denver Nuggets of the NBA, Colorado Avalanche of the NHL and Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League, as well as the home of the three franchises of the Pepsi Center, PointsBet strives to enhance its appeal to players by introducing the vertical live casino.
Founded in Australia and initially joining the US in July 2018 following the acquisition of a commercial license to operate as an online corporate bookmaker in New Jersey, the company subsequently added Indiana and Iowa to its operating states.
PointsBet chief innovation officer Seth Young said of the connection: “We are thrilled to partner with Evolution Gaming to launch live casino technology in US jurisdictions, where we plan to offer our proprietary online casino platform. The addition of Evolution live casino extends the appeal of PointsBet’s premium product in the rapidly growing US market.”
In August 2018, Evolution opened the first US live casino studio in Atlantic City, with a second currently under construction in Pennsylvania with go-live planned for the second half of the year, and a third in Michigan set for debut in 2021.
Evolution Gaming chief commercial officer Sebastian Johannisson added: “Evolution’s live casino portfolio offers PointsBet a rich mix of world-leading online live casino games including classic table games, online poker variants that are big favourites with US players, and our new generation of award-winning, record-breaking game show games.
“In addition, PointsBet will have the option of exclusively branded dedicated tables and environments, should they require these.”
