PointsBet Goes Live In Colarado

Global sportsbook operator PointsBet has confirmed that it has now offering its mobile app and digital sports betting product in Colarado which makes it the fifth state after New Jersey, Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois, to operate its sports betting product.

PointsBet is the only sports betting company in the Centennial State to have built a permanent headquarters, with its new home base located in downtown Denver’s ‘LoDo’ district.

The sportsbook aims to support its global team in the new Denver hub with up to 200 staff, keeping a focus on product creation, growth and recruitment of technology. It will also have a retail presence at Cripple Creek’s Double Eagle Hotel & Casino soon.

PointsBet USA CEO Johnny Aitken said: “Launching in Colorado, the site of PointsBet’s US headquarters, is an extra special moment for the business. This is our fifth state of operation in the US following our most recent launch in Illinois, and as always, we will be providing this passionate, sports-loving community with the fastest online sports betting product in the market and the most betting options for every NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL game.

“It is a great feeling to now be able to officially introduce Colorado sports bettors to the competitive advantages PointsBet possesses in owning our technology end-to-end, as well as light up our major investments in state like our fully exclusive deal with the Kroenke Sports and Entertainment team across the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and the Ball Arena in advance of the upcoming NBA and NHL seasons.”

By providing customers with a risk-free betting package and many hometown deals, PointsBet celebrates its launch in the state. The risk-free package not only provides two $500 risk-free bets on the first set odds or wagers of new customers, but also a “hometown discount” for local teams of up to $100. This will allow the customers of the sportsbook in the Centennial State to try the product in a risk-free manner and also earn credit back in free bets for any wagers that do not win from Colorado-based teams.

A deal special to Colorado native and Denver Broncos running back, Phillip Lindsay, will also be provided by the sportsbook: bet $20 on his rushing yards prop, get $1 in free bets for every yard he earns vs. the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 22. The “Mile High” deal for the first 1,000 Colorado customers is also debuting, offering +5280 odds for the Denver Nuggets to win the NBA title in 2020/21.

PointsBet entered a multi-year alliance with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, LLC (KSE) earlier this year, making it the official and exclusive partner of the Denver Nuggets of the NBA, the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, the National Lacrosse League’s Colorado Mammoth, and its home venue, Ball Arena.

A multi-year corporate sponsorship deal with Learfield IMG College, the media rights holder of the University of Colorado Athletics, was also confirmed by the sportsbook, making the business an exclusive Colorado Buffaloes partner.
