Penn National Gaming has opened a career centre at Hollywood Casino Morgantown and is currently accepting applications for about 375 new opportunities.
PNG will also hold a series of table games dealer school open house hiring events at the job centre over the next two weeks, in anticipation of the anticipated $111 million Pennsylvania-based facility launching by the end of 2021, subject regulatory permissions.
The 80,000-square-foot casino will have 750 slot machines and 30 table games, as well as a Barstool sportsbook and racebook, as well as a variety of restaurant and beverage offerings.
Erin Chamberlin, senior vice president of regional operations for Penn National said: “We are thrilled to begin accepting applications for our newest property from residents of Berks, Lancaster, and Montgomery counties, and other neighbouring communities.
“We look forward to interviewing candidates for the vast array of jobs that will support our expected grand opening later this year.”
Full-time and part-time positions will be available, with qualified applicants receiving “same-day” job offers. Table games dealer training will begin in late September and will be free for individuals who accept the company’s job offers, assuming regulatory permission.
Casino operations, food and beverage, security and surveillance, human resources, marketing, and other departments will all have openings.
A role for everyone
“Whether candidates prefer being at the center of it all or working behind the scenes, there will be a role for everyone at Hollywood Casino Morgantown,” added Chamberlin.
“As a continuously growing company with more than 40 properties nationwide, team members with a commitment to customer service can benefit from opportunities for career growth at any Penn National location.”
This would give the casino operator more options in Pennsylvania, where it just celebrated the grand inauguration of its $120 million Hollywood York Casino, the group’s third gaming and entertainment complex in the state.
