Playtech has established a new partnership with GVC Holdings to launch Elevation, the operator’s new, dedicated live casino studio.
It will be situated in a purpose-built building, initially with five blackjack tables and a roulette studio, followed by additional tables and games over the next two months.
The games will be played against a video wall backdrop featuring a city skyline backdrop which Playtech says will create a “truly visual spectacle” for players.
“As the parent company behind some of the most iconic brands in online gambling, GVC has been a key partner for us for many years, and we’re delighted to be extending that partnership with the development of Elevation,” Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad commented.
“We’ve significantly invested in our live casino technology and facilities in recent years, in addition to continually diversifying our content – so in a year when we’ve done more than ever to enhance our product, it seems only fitting to be working with an industry leader to deliver an ever-more innovative live experience.”
The counterpart of Akad at GVC Shay Segev described live casino as one of the major vertical growths in igaming, with players looking for an immersive, entertainment-driven experience.
“Significant investment has gone into delivering the first stage of the Elevation studio and we’re delighted with the results.
“Playtech’s track record and experience in delivering innovative live casino technology and content is unsurpassed,” Segev explained. “We’re looking forward to continuing our successful partnership and delivering a world-class player experience.”
The manufacturer has heavily invested in its live dealer portfolio, which saw it carry out a range of new product models in 2019 and move into new markets. This saw the introduction of a dedicated roulette solution for the Spanish market in the third quarter of the year and the launching of titles like Quantum Roulette, Heads Up Hold’em and All Bets Blackjack.
