This week, Play’n GO have come up with another magical title as they announce the release of Lord Merlin & The Lady of The Lake, their new slot.
Arthurian family of slots
The game is another addition to Play’n GO’s Arthurian family of slots brought into their library of content. Play’n GO has gradually expanded their “families” of games, developing and expanding communities of games sharing recognisable characters, themes or settings.
This has proved to be a success with gamers, enabling them to enjoy new games and experiences while also loving what they love about their previous games.
The 5X3 slot focuses on an earlier period in the life of the great wizard Merlin, specifically the beginning of his relationship with the Lady of the Lake, Vivian.
While in the many tales of Merlin’s life, they are considered to be rivals, their relationship began as a romantic one, a viewpoint not often discussed in the telling of their story.
Rise of Merlin sequel
A sequel to their 2019 publication, Rise of Merlin, which also centered on the earlier time of Merlin’s life, is Lord Merlin and The Lady of the Lake. With audiences across Europe, the title became incredibly popular, and now the supplier is offering audiences more of what they love by expanding the legend.
Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake will give plenty of love to the players. In each spin, there is a free spin round that will randomly pick a symbol to expand on the reels, offering the possibility of a screen full of Wilds; a nested feature within the free spin round and, perhaps most impressive of all, double the Rise of Merlin’s ability!
This game may be related to others, but according to CPO Martin Zettergren, it still stands on its own two feet, something that’s really important: “Our ‘families’ link games together under a recognisable umbrella; players see this and know that they are going to get the same great entertainment as a game they have enjoyed previously.
“However, familiarity alone will not keep players engaged; each game has to bring something different to the table, otherwise what’s the point?”
Lord Merlin & The Lady of the Lake was released on Friday.
