Pittsburgh Steelers Confirm BetMGM As First Gaming Partner

BetMGM has been confirmed as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first gaming partner.

The partnership involves fan-focused assets such as showcasing the Steelers’ kickoff pre-game show sponsorship, team television content, digital media tools, and promotions and signage in-stadium.

Ryan Huzjak, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said: “We are excited to introduce BetMGM to Steelers Nation. Not only will BetMGM be elevating some of our existing platforms, but they will be introducing new and exciting opportunities to Steelers fans. We are looking forward to kicking off this partnership.”

BetMGM will make good use of the marks and logos of the NFL team as a gaming partner of the Steelers in communications through marketing, product, social media and digital properties. When their online sports betting product launches later this year the company will become an official sports betting affiliate of the Pittsburgh franchise as part of the agreement.

In addition to being the sponsor of the Steelers kickoff pre-game show, entitled ‘Steelers Kickoff Presented by BetMGM’, the collaboration involves sweepstakes dubbed ‘Decade of Black & Gold’ where two club level season tickets and two VIP hospitality tent passes for 10 years will be won by one grand prize winner at the end of the season. Weekly prizes will also be awarded, with signed Steelers merchandise being won by other entrants. The contest will continue for the entire length of the NFL season.

The collaboration will also include gameday media and weekly media during the Mike Tomlin Weekly Press Conference on Tuesdays, Steelers Weekly on Saturdays, and the Mike Tomlin Show on Saturdays, including radio spots inside Steelers programming such as The Point After, Players Show, Preview Show and In the Locker Room Show with Tunch & Wolf (ESPN Pittsburgh), and TV advertisements.

BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost added: “Steelers Nation is one of the most passionate fan bases in professional sports and we’re thrilled to bring the excitement of BetMGM to Steelers fans. We’re eager to launch BetMGM’s gaming offering in Pennsylvania and I can’t think of a better way to kick off our entry into the state than through this monumental partnership.”

BetMGM has recently obtained a licence in Pennsylvania to deliver online casino and sports betting and plans to go live in the state with casino gaming within the coming weeks, pending regulatory approval. By the end of the year the service will broaden to include sports betting.
