Paysafe, a specialised payments platform, has partnered with Fubo Gaming, a Chicago-based subsidiary of fuboTV Inc., a sports-first live TV streaming network.
Fubo Sportsbook, the firm’s mobile sportsbook, is expected to open later in Q4 2021, subject to regulatory permissions. It will leverage Paysafe for credit and debit card payments, the Skrill USA digital wallet, and paysafecard and Paysafecash eCash solutions.
Users of Fubo Sportsbook can finance a deposit via Paysafe’s payment gateway by using a credit card, debit card, or ACH bank transfer from a checking or savings account. Skrill USA will also allow bettors to deposit funds from their digital wallet into their sportsbook accounts.
Other cash choices
There are other cash choices available. Paysafecard or Paysafecash are two eCash options available to users, and both are accepted at thousands of US shops.
Paysafe will also make payouts easier, with bettors now having the option of choosing between ACH withdrawals or Skrill USA’s digital wallet, which allows profits to be transferred to players’ bank accounts in real time. Customers can also withdraw wins as cash from an ATM using the Skrill Visa Prepaid Card.
Paysafe’s North American igaming division’s CEO, Zak Cutler, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Fubo Gaming’s forthcoming Fubo Sportsbook.
“Our comprehensive range of payment solutions, with a strong emphasis on fast and frictionless deposits and payouts, will be key for Fubo Sportsbook’s interactive wagering model, and we look forward to providing strong support to the brand’s launch in Q4 and its future growth.”
The data from both the betting and streaming platforms will be combined by ubo Sportsbook. The startup wants to turn passive viewers into active, engaged participants by using fuboTV’s first-party user activity data to evaluate consumers’ viewing patterns and recommend suitable bets.
Licenses and market access
Fubo Gaming has received licences and market access agreements from the Ak-Chin Indian Community in Arizona, Casino Queen in Iowa, The Cordish Companies in Pennsylvania, and Caesars Entertainment Inc. in Indiana and New Jersey in the last few months.
Fubo Gaming’s President, Scott Butera, had this to say: “We are building our Fubo Sportsbook to deliver a truly integrated and interactive betting experience, where sports fans can be active and engaged participants of the games they are watching and wagering on.
“To bring that vision to life, we needed a payment partner who was going to provide secure, fast, and easy-to-use solutions for our sportsbook users. Paysafe checks all of those boxes, and we look forward to our continued partnership.”
