Paysafe Group announced Ismail ‘Izzy’ Dawood’s inbound appointment as new Group CFO, who will join the company’s Executive Leadership Team on September 28, replacing Peter Smith, the outgoing CFO.
A 25-year financial services executive, Dawood joins Paysafe from Branch International, North American credit score software and device provider, where he was previously CFO from 2019 to 2020.
In his address, Paysafe highlighted Dawood ‘s comprehensive track record, having acted as the financial lead for the North America B2C company of Spanish multinational bank Santander and the investment units of New York investment bank BNY Mellon.
Lauded as a crucial appointment for improving the company’s leadership skills, Paysafe Governance said it has hired a leading tech-focused CFO with deep knowledge of M&A and corporate finance as the group rapidly grows its portfolio of products and services in the months ahead.
Dawood will be based in the US office of Paysafe working with Group CEO Philip McHugh who commented on the appointment: “Izzy is a talented finance executive with a proven track record in strategic thinking and driving impressive results.
