Famous poker streamer Parker ‘tonkaaaa’ Talbot has made money out of his classic merchandise, ‘Team Never Lucky.’ Talbot may never again lay claim to its catchphrase after winning the latest PokerStars Stadium Series event for $261.489.
Talbot has long had a large and devoted following, one of the most famous players to stream his poker action. This result has become his highest online score ever and cements his already stellar reputation as one of the best in the business, not only playing the game but entertaining thousands while doing it.
With 768 players putting up the $2.100 entry into the event, the $261.489 top prize represented the vast overall prizepool, with $1.5 million being assured that 87 players made the money. Some of those included the famous British player Max Silver, Simon Pedersen and Thomas Boivin.
Talbot immediately took charge on the final table, busting the Russian player ‘LeslieGroves’ after the pocket queens from Talbot had no trouble holding against the ace-ten from his opponent. A queen on the flop had contributed to the downfall of the Russian tournament.
Anton Wigg was one of Talbot’s biggest competitors at the final table, but he left in seventh place when his appropriate ace-ten couldn’t overcome ‘VladTheSlaye,’ who had nine pockets. VladTheSlaye was on a roll, busting Canadian player ‘thx4urm0n3y’ who cashed out for $55,072 ahead of Andre Lettau’s departure.
After three-bet all-in with pocket eights, Alexandru Farcasanu was eliminated in 4th place with four players remaining. Talbot was his conqueror, shoving again with pocket queens over Phil McAllister ‘s neck, holding to cut the field to three. Talbot then made sure he went into the heads-up fight with a strong lead when his as-king out of contention dominated McAllister ‘s ace-jack.
Talbot claimed the heads-up with a 2:1 ratio lead when he scored against the King-Queen of ValdtheSlaye with pocket nines and celebrated in style.
