Online betting provider Parimatch expanded its UFC agreement to the end of 2021. This ensures the company will continue as the “Official Betting and Wagering Partner of UFC” for the Europe and CIS area of the Premier MMA organisation.
This comes ahead of the bumper card of fights this weekend, which includes three title bouts including the much-anticipated battle between Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman for the welterweight. The card opens up a busy promotional period, with a busy fights schedule taking place on ‘Fight Island.’
The agreement would help strengthen the stranglehold of Parimatch for MMA, one of the fastest-growing foreign sports in terms of popularity, in the betting industry.
Parimatch was in the Octagon last year and benefitted from brand recognition at 15 competitions. At least for the next 18 months, the promoter will remain present at the most awaited combat nights.
Parimatch ‘s brand partnership with the UFC is also endorsed by the Irish icon Conor McGregor who since March 2019 has been an spokesperson for the brand.
Sergey Portnov, Parimatch chief executive commented: “We took a bet when we began our relationship with the UFC in 2018 on the daring spirit of the organisation and its fighters to help elevate both our brands to new heights. We see that spirit in Parimatch and the values of our customers. We are excited to continue this bold journey together.”
