With the appointment of Marcelo Augusto David ‘Coldzera’ as its new Esports Brand Ambassador, multinational betting technology company Parimatch has further improved its esports credentials.
Brazilian professional esports player Coldzera, who for two years running has been the top ranked competitor on Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), will help the social network initiatives of Parimatch under the terms of the deal.
Opening the doors to global markets
Stepan Shulga, Parimatch’s head of esports, said: “Great news for the Parimatch and esports community. My company aims to become a global brand and this partnership with Marcelo displays us for Brazilian esports fans, opening the door to the global markets.

Coldzera discussed his current appointment and his career in professional esports, speaking to Shulga in a YouTube video interview.
“[I am] happy to announce my partnership with Parimatch and meet my battle CS:GO comrade Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko on one side, together with such global sport legends as Mike Tyson and Conor McGregor – this is such an honour,” he said.
“I have known Parimatch as a responsible company that is truly immersed in esports and makes a significant contribution – both in technology and in entertainment.
“And, being grateful to esports for a lot, I want to make my contribution not only at the arena – so, together with Parimatch, we’ll boost esports in Brazil. Let’s try distracting them a little from football!”
Proven role in the world of esports
Having served as the global betting partner of the famous team Fnatic and the title partner of Virtus.pro, Parimatch has a proven role in the world of esports.
In 2019, as well as the EPICENTER CS:GO tournament, the organisation became the official partner of the Logitech G National Cybertsport League, the largest Counter-Strike competition in Ukraine.
The company contributes a large proportion of its R&D capital to the creation of esports features and has recently become the first betting operator to create its own big Dota2 competition, the ‘Parimatch League,’ followed by a second online league specifically tailored for CS: GO players.
