Champion jockey Paddy Brennan will act as the first ‘Racing Legend’ for new bookmaker BresBet, promoting the company’s brand and betting services to racing fans.
BresBet, which launched in September, aims to be the most comprehensive and best value bookmaker for horse and greyhound racing markets in the UK, catering to the specific demands of racing clients that traditional bookies have overlooked.
Brennan, who won the 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup, has agreed to form a partnership with Sheffield-based BresBet, providing specialist insight into all UK racing trends.
Brennan will also help the bookmaker develop the ‘BresBet Foundation,’ which will help fund horse and greyhound welfare organisations, as part of his role as Racing Legend.
Brennan said: “I’m thrilled to represent BresBet and excited about what the future holds not just on the racecourse but off it, too.
“BresBet has some great plans for the BresBet Foundation and, once it’s set up, it will help support several horse and greyhound welfare charities. These are causes very dear to my heart and I look forward to working closely with the trustees.”
Equine and greyhound markets
Nic Brereton and David Perry (MD) created Bresbet with the goal of providing a fully-tailored betting solution for racing punters spanning both equine and greyhound markets.
Brereton and Perry have promised to return to the basics when it comes to catering to racing bettors with their Bresbet online, phone, and trackside verticals, as well as highstreet betting lounges.
“Having Paddy as the first BresBet Legend is just fantastic. We’ve been owners at Ravenswell Farm for a few years now and have seen at first hand the tremendous work and ambition that Fergal and his team have – Paddy is very much central to that,” said Brereton.
“We are passionate about sport, but also extremely keen to give something back – and that’s a commitment shared by our BresBet Legends who will be out and about, helping raise the profile of the charities we will be supporting.”
